Succession, Growth & Market Presence

From Working Student to Managing Director

Joining the family business was initially not Plan A for Niklas Bruhn. Law, media, tax consulting, auditing, and financial advisory were among the career paths he explored thoroughly. It was only the opportunity to experience the work firsthand that changed his perspective. Insight turned into interest and ultimately into the decision to take on responsibility in the food industry and construction sector himself. Over more than two years, Niklas Bruhn got to know KBG step by step — first as a working student, then full-time as a project manager, and today as Managing Director. It was never just about office work. Planning, preparation, and client consulting are as much part of the daily routine as project management, coordination of trades, and implementation on the construction site.

No two days are alike, and that is precisely what makes this industry so appealing to me.

The Interface as a Strength

KBG sees itself as the interface between the client’s vision and what is technically, economically, and structurally feasible. Requirements are filtered, solutions developed, and prepared in a way that provides clients with reliable foundations for decision-making. Especially in complex projects, clients should not have to coordinate every detail between planning, suppliers, and trades themselves. KBG consolidates these matters and keeps the project on track. In construction projects, changes and problems are part of daily business. Crucial is therefore not whether challenges arise, but how they are addressed. For Niklas Bruhn, project management means finding a solution between what is possible and what is necessary — quickly, pragmatically, and always focused on keeping the project moving forward.

The Strategic Vision

Niklas Bruhn aims to position KBG as an established fixture in the market for demanding production, warehouse, and industrial projects. Existing clients should know that projects will be reliably executed; new clients should perceive KBG as a key contact partner. The goal is a clear market positioning: anyone planning a complex project should find it hard to bypass KBG. The team is set to grow and tackle larger tasks together. At the same time, the long-term focus extends beyond Germany to additional projects in the European and international context. Growth is not an end in itself. Personal support, reliability, and close involvement in the project will remain preserved even within a larger organization.

THE PERSPECTIVE

30 Years of KONZEPT Bruhn. The Next Decades with the Next Generation.

The generational transition at KBG is not a abrupt cut, but a step-by-step transition of knowledge, responsibility, and entrepreneurship. The foundation remains what made KBG successful for decades. Added to this is the vision to develop the company organizationally, expand the team, and enter new markets.
